Northern Grit

I had to go to Solihull to collect Bristol Trade Cards a book on inter-library loan



By chance I found myself at opening night on Thursday 2nd February from 6pm – 8pm of the photo exhibition Northern Grit by Pat Maycroft


The photographs that form the ‘Northern Grit’ exhibition by Pat Maycroft are about discoveries, contemplations, memories and histories of a forgotten world.


The images provided the writing group ‘Vane Women’ with inspiration for their creative writing and extracts from their resulting poems are presented alongside the photographs that are on display. Vane Women: Northern Grit

The exhibition runs in the gallery at Solihull Arts Complex from Monday 30th January – Tuesday 7th March and everyone was welcome to come along to the opening night on Thursday 2nd February from 6pm – 8pm.

To compliment the exhibition, the Vane Women writing group will be running a day of creative writing workshops at Solihull Arts Complex on Saturday 11th February from 2.30pm – 4.30pm.

There is also an opportunity between 1pm and 2pm for people to join Vane Women as they read their work aloud. Solihull Council - Press Releases
